TikTok has built a strong foundation with LA Pride over the years. But by 2024, TikTok was on the verge of potentially being outlawed in the US, so the brand needed to build deeper, more meaningful connections with its core audiences.

Often brands turn up at LA Pride to show their LGBTQIA+ credentials, and then disappear for another year. The LGBTQIA+ creator community is huge on TikTok so we had the opportunity to do something more meaningful than other brands.
idea
To position TikTok as a platform where LGBTIQA+ creators feel safe and inspired to create, we invited LGBTIQA+ owned SMBs into a carefully curated TikTok LA Pride Ball. An enormous custom built TikTok glitter ball, best in-class entertainers from the LGBTQIA+ community, and well respected influencers brought to life this magical event to celebrate Pride week in a safe, inclusive way.
